Between the afternoon of August 10th and midday on Tuesday, an area of isolated depression at high altitude will occur off the coast of southwestern Europe says Meteored.
This will bring with it a cold front and a drop in temperatures, causing stormy weather to move northwest across the Spanish peninsula.
On Tuesday August 11th, irregular showers are expected, turning into storms towards the end of the day, and on Wednesday. Weather experts warn that storms may be severe, particularly in the centre of the country, in areas such as Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León and Madrid.
Entre mañana y el miércoles los acumulados de precipitación podrían ser llamativos (15 a 30 l/m2) en puntos del interior peninsular e importantes en #Asturias.

The severe weather front will also make its way up through Galicia and Asturias, causing rainfall of between 70-100 millimetres. Storms may be accompanied by hail and very strong gusts of wind that could occasionally exceed 120 km/h.
On Wednesday, rain showers will be more concentrated in the north of the peninsula. Temperatures in the north of Spain will drop significantly, however the southeast of the country can still expect highs above 36-37C.
