Long lines were reported everywhere from Milan to Bari on roads around McDonald's outlets on May 4th and 5th, as Italy entered phase two of its lockdown, easing some restrictions.

In Rome's suburbs, some drivers said they initially thought the tailbacks were due to a serious traffic accident.
Photos and videos of the long lines of cars full of people waiting for their fast food fix were seen in local newspapers and on social media, with some calling it “Mcmania”.
“I udnerstand you've been missing McDonald's, but guys is everything ok?” wrote one Twitter user, after driving past a long line.
