If you update weekly at the beginning of the week, I think it paints an overly negative picture. The number hospitalized has fallen steadily for week but seems to bump up very slightly at the weekend – maybe fewer doctors work weekend to examine and discharge patients while sick people will always be admitted?
Yes, the numbers went up very slightly over the weekend, but never up to the day before that, which itself was a fall from the day before. This “falls during the week with a bump at the weekend” pattern seems to have repeated for a few weeks.
The real picture is surely that there were over 50 fewer people hospitalized than at the same point the previous week?
