Edited to add: Please note that Stockholm on July 25th updated its fire ban to include ALL fires, including safe spots built by the council and private gardens. No barbecues are allowed due to the high risk of wildfires.
The particularly hot and dry weather has created a risk of forest or grass fires across much of Sweden, and as a result the use of portable barbecues in nature has been banned until further notice. There are however some specially built locations where you can still enjoy a barbecue in the sunshine.
These spots are designed to minimize risk of fire spreading, but caution should still be used and the advice from the fire service is to avoid barbecuing regardless if it's particularly windy, and always have access to extinguishing equipment just to be safe.
1. Oxhålsbadet
Oxhålsbadet is a beach located on the residential island of Stora Essingen. If you want to have a cozy barbecue in a quiet place surrounded by nature, but still easily accessible from the centre of the city, this is your place. You can also swim there.

2. Rålambshovsparken
Located along the promenade between Fredhäll and Norr Mälarstrand, Rålambshovsparken is a well-known big park with a lot of space for your barbecue. Look out though: the barbecues are limited and this park can be crowded during the sunny evenings.
3. Drakenbergsparken
On the western part of Södermalm you will find Drakenbergsparken which is the perfect place for a family barbecue. This huge site offers great playgrounds for children and also has a small cafe nearby where you can buy hotdogs if you don't want to do your own barbecue.
Being located right next to leafy Tantolunden park means there are great walks nearby too.

4. Mörtviksparken/Vinterviken
Situated in a small bay of Lake Mälaren, this huge park offers a spot for grilling with great views and even better swimming. A local secret that's rarely visited by tourists but a summer favourite for Stockholmers.
5. Hornsbergs Strandparken
Situated on the northern shore of Kungsholmen, Hornsbergs Strandpark offers a great view for a lakeside sunset. The area next to the water is narrow with limited spots, so you should arrive early if you want to be sure to find a place. Also a perfect place to go for a dip thanks to its pontoons.
