The accident, in which no-one was hurt, occurred on an exit road north of the central Jutland city early on Wednesday morning.
“This involved a lorry that ended up on the verge, where it has tipped on to its side,” duty officer Per Bennekou of East Jutland Police told newspaper Ekstra Bladet.
The stricken truck remains on the roadside this morning, but traffic is not expected to be affected, added Bennekou.
“The road has been cleared and is passable in both directions, so there should be no problem for traffic,” he said.
But police will have to spend some time trawling for the overturned truck’s leaked cargo.
“We will have to reload the fish [to a second truck] before we can recover the lorry, so we expect that will take some time,” said Bennekou.
The truck’s 58-year-old driver was not injured during the accident, reports Ekstra Bladet.
