As Austria’s Social Democrats (SPÖ) grapple with finding a new leader following the resignation of Chancellor Werner Faymann on Monday, a recruitment site has also given it a go.
Advertising for a full-time position as Federal Chancellor to start as quickly as possible, the recruiters say their client is a European country of 'medium size' looking for a leader.
Political experience is a plus – although not a prerequisite – and the applicant must have good buffet networking skills as well as a ‘diplomatic demeanour’ and a ‘steady poker face’.
In return the successful candidate will get an office in the heart of Vienna’s first district, attend exciting company events like ‘maypole raising’ and drinking in Vienna’s Heurigen wine taverns, as well as access to the canteen for the Federal Chancellor’s office at lunchtime.
