Although it is certainly starting to look like spring, it hasn’t necessarily felt like it over the past few days. And now, forecasters say that Denmark could be in for a winter-like weekend.
Polar air moving south over Denmark is expected to bring a drop in temperatures that could mean that large swaths of the country will experience night frost as Friday turns into Saturday.

As Saturday progresses, TV2 Vejret predicts that precipitation will fall over most of the country. For most of Denmark, it will come down as rain but there is a chance that the northern part of the country will be hit with hail, sleet and melting snow.
The Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) also warns that the white stuff might make an unwelcome late April return. Its forecast calls for a possibility of snow or sleet on Sunday.
According to TV2 Vejret, the cold weekend downturn could result in the lowest spring temperatures in six years.
It predicted highs of just 6-8C from Sunday through the middle of next week, lows not reached this late in spring since 2010.
