Ammann fails to rise to hometown crowd

Slovenia's Peter Prevc maintained his hot streak when claiming Sunday's men's World Cup ski jump at Engelberg in the Swiss Alps to add to his win at the Swiss resort 24 hours earlier.

On Saturday Prevc saw off his teenage brother Domen, this time he had Austria's Michael Hayboeck in second as he claimed his ninth career win with a massive 142-metre second jump for a total of 304.2 points.

Hayboeck finished with a total of 304.2 points with Norway's Kenneth Gangnes (279.8) completing the podium.

Switzerland's four-time Olympic champion Simon Ammann could only finish in 14th in front of his home supporters.

Prevc extended his lead in the overall standings to 165 points.
