Spain’s national football team revealed its new football kit on Tuesday including the shirt players will wear during the Euro 2016 competition.

Players including goal keeper Iker Casillas, Diego Costa and David de Gea unveiled the kit, posing for a selfie to show off their new look.

The team known as 'La Roja' described the design as “vintage, faithful to the traditional red and to the team’s roots”.

Spain's players will wear the kit for the first time in a friendly against England on Friday in Alicante.

How the team selfie turned out.

Spain has won the last two European championships, beating Germany in 2008 and Italy in 2012 to take the title.

But after a poor show in the last world cup, the national team is hoping to recapture its glory days in next year’s championships.

Spain plummeted from the glory of winning the 2010 World Cup, held in South Africa, to being knocked out in the group stages of 2014’s World Cup in Brazil.

The advertising for the new kit, sponsored by Adidas, features the slogan, “¿La quieres?” which is a play on words in Spanish, meaning both “Do you want it?” and “Do you love it?”

The new kit features blue shorts, black socks and a classic red shirt with three yellow stripes.
