All three men were charged with sexual intercourse with a child under 16-years-old.

According to police lawyer, Erling Melvær, the charges may be added to as the investigation proceeds.

Melvær added that the girl is between the ages of 14- and 16-years-old and alleged that the incident took place at the festival on Saturday night.

Sexual intercourse with children under 16 carries a maximum sentence of six years in prison.

The charges could be extended to the rape of a minor and sexual intercourse committed by several persons jointly.

The penalty is then up to 15 years in prison.

One of the suspects was subsequently released on Monday morning.

The Malakoff rock festival has run since 2003 and this year was headlined by UK band, Kaiser Chiefs.
