The Global Swede Award 2015 represented a moment of inspiration and pride to represent both the University of Gothenburg and my home country, Republic of Moldova.
It was overwhelming to meet so many people thrilled about their work, and here I mean us students, ambassadors, representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Swedish Institute and other universities.
This event was more than an award ceremony; it was a moment of inspiration and of interaction with representatives from the country we come from. It represented the creation of a new network of international students eager to promote and establish partnerships with Sweden.
It inspired me to keep doing things with passion along the way, be open-minded about new opportunities, and share ideas with people.
While going back home on the train I reflected on how important it is to be flexible and adapt to the globalised world, while still preserving the uniqueness of the country one comes from.
Finally, I will bring back a big thank you to the University of Gothenburg, the Swedish Institute, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the trust and appreciation they've shown towards my endeavors and work.
In addition, I want to thank all the people who support and believe in my aspirations and are thus also indirectly a part of this award.
