The Seville April Fair began in 1847 as a livestock fair, but has become a week-long celebration with flamenco dancing, bullfighting and horse-drawn carriage rides through the streets.
The festivities usually begin two weeks after Easter Holy Week and this year's festival began on April 20th and runs until April 26th.
Men wear traditional trajes cortos, or short suits consisting of a short jacket, tight trousers, boots and a wide-brimmed hat. Women wear flamenco-style trajes de flamenca dresses.
Each day begins with a carriage ride parade of prominent community members, followed by a bullfight.
Families, friends and organizations have their own casetas, or decorated tents, that line the fairgrounds.
The nights are filled with drinking sherry, eating tapas and, of course, dancing.
