Passengers heading between Charles de Gaulle airport and the city faced a travel headache on Friday after services on the RER B line were cut due to a huge blaze.
The fire engulfed a 10,000 square metre textile factory in the suburb of La Courneuve in Seine-Saint-Denis, with black smoke visible for kilometres.
Police sources told French channel BFM TV that no one was caught in the flames, and that the building was evacuated quickly.
A spokesperson from rail operator SNCF told The Local that there was no RER service running between Gare du Nord and Aulnay-sous-Bois, but that replacement buses were available between Aulnay-sous-Bois and Charles De Gaulle airport.
According to reports, rail traffic will be disrupted until 7pm.
Many Parisians flocked to Twitter to share pictures of the blaze, below are a few examples.
