The blaze broke out at around 10.30pm in a complex of buildings in an industrial area of the municipality on the left bank of the Rhone River, Valais cantonal police said.
The complex housing the Yukon bar, Kapital Club night spot and woodworking shop was unoccupied at the time and no-one was injured, police said.
However, the more than 50 fire fighters who responded had difficulty quelling the flames because of the presence of gas canisters on the premises.
A road linking the area to the village of Illarsaz was closed for several hours because of the fire, police said.
The fire started in the interior of the building complex.
Investigators are examining the possibility that it was caused by an electrical malfunction, police said.
