Huge crowd mourns Hebdo victims in Berlin

About 18,000 people joined a vigil in central Berlin mourning victims of the Islamist attacks in Paris, local police told AFP.

The crowd gathered at 2pm in front of the French embassy opposite the Brandenburg Gate landmark in a rally organised on social media.

Many placed flowers and candles in front of the embassy building in honour of the 17 people killed in the attacks.
