A 93-year-old woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Sunday in Aarhus, according to local police.
The woman was crossing a street on foot in Aarhus on Sunday afternoon when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did not stop, according to police.
“She was struck by this vehicle, which temporarily stopped before then continuing without checking on the woman,” East Jutland police spokesman Bo Christensen told Ritzau.
Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen the incident and can provide information on the driver or the vehicle. Police currently believe that the involved vehicle is a blue Mazda 323 sedan from the late 1990s.
The 93-year-old woman died from her injuries at around 1am on Monday.
