Porn film spices up fare at McDonald’s restaurant

McDonald’s is normally considered a safe place to bring children, so customers at one of the hamburger chain’s outlets in Switzerland were surprised over the weekend to see a porn film shown to diners on a large video screen.

The incident occurred in Zuchwil, a town of about 8,600 in the canton of Solothurn, late Saturday night, 20 Minutes reported.

The newspaper said a diner went to the restaurant with some friends for hamburgers before going home.

But they group got more than they ordered.

Shown on the video screen was a series of x-rated episodes from the Sexy Sports Clips program aired by Sport 1, a German sports channel.

The porn film replaced the usual sports fare for that evening, although no-one working at the restaurant had noticed.

“We were only a group of men so it didn’t bother us,” the diner told 20 Minutes.

“But what would have happened if there was a family in the restaurant at that time?”

An employee finally noticed there was a problem and changed the channel.

McDonald’s said employees were asked to leave the TVs turned to the Eurosport channel.

But sometimes workers “change the channel to please a customer,” McDonald’s spokeswoman Aglaë Strachwitz told 20 Minutes.

She said the mistake was pardonable.

“If our employees didn’t immediately realize (what was going on) it’s because they were concentrating on our customers and their work.”
