On Tuesday's press conference before the Chelsea and Tottenham match in England, TV 2 asked José Mourinho if he has heard about the big talent from Strømsgodset, Martin Ødegaard. The 15-year-old has for a long time been connected to a number of large clubs in Europe.

Mourinho answered: “I have heard a lot about him. I have read that he will be going to 25 clubs. I would like to know who he will go to.”

At the same time, the Chelsea manager said Ødegaard is not part of the plans under his leadership at Stamford Bridge club right now.

“We are not in a position to compete with twenty-five other clubs for him. We are a different profile of club,” said Mourinho.

The talented star of Norwegian side Strømsgodset supposedly impressed Liverpool's manager, Brendan Rodgers, reported TV 2.

Ødegaard arrived in Liverpool on Wednesday and was shown around Anfield. The next day he was training together with stars like Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling.

Rodgers said, when he was recently asked questions about 15-year-old Ødegaard: “He is a fantastic talent, but I don't have anything more to say. He’s the player of another club.”

It is well-known that Ødegaard is a Liverpool supporter.

Martin Ødegaard has been rumoured to be the target of some of Europe's top clubs. He recently went to Spain together with his father to visit Real Madrid. Also Manchester United has shown interest in signing the Norwegian teenager.

Chelsea, on the other hand, has resigned from the competition. Manager José Mourinho said on Tuesday that he felt the profile of the London club doesn’t fit Ødegaard.

Martin Ødegaard received last month the prize as Norway's Football Talent of the Year. He received his award in the break during the football cup final between Molde and Odd at Ullevål Stadium. Molde won the match 2-0.
