As the host broadcaster, the Austrian state-owned business operates TV and radio channels in the country, and will be handling all the organizational aspects of the ESC 2015.

Applications opened on Monday in a call for volunteers, who must be at least 18 years of age, speak both English and German fluently, and be available for casting on March 14th and 15th.

Executive Producer Edgar Böhm said "It’s been nearly 50 years since the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Austria.  This grand event is an incredible experience for our team, which will stay in our memories forever."

"Volunteers are the front line of the Eurovision Song Contest. They are the calling cards of the event and the entire country. They have a huge influence on how visitors will view Austria after two straight weeks of constant interaction", he added.

Would-be volunteers can find the application at the web site songcontest.orf.at.  You'll need a CV and a cover letter.

The ESC in 2014 was held in Copenhagen.

Regional castings will be held across Austria in each of the nine provinces, with final casting taking place in Vienna on March 14th and 15th.

Volunteers will be helping out at the accreditation desks, information kiosks and in the press centre, as well as audience management and production team interns.

All volunteers will be insured for accidents, and will receive warm meals and a special Eurovision uniform — and most importantly, they'll get to attend the grand event next year.

The 2014 winner, Austria's own Conchita Wurst, will also be present to celebrate the next winner.
