When the 722 service pulled in for a stop in Norsborg the mischievous mutt, described as a Siberian husky, made himself comfortable before the bus pulled off.
"It sat nicely down on the seat and rode the bus that does the circle line in the area," Eva Nilsson of the Stockholm police said in a statement.
When the bus made a stop in Hallunda the dog was escorted off by officers who treated the animal to another ride in a police car.
After being held in a local police station the dog was identified by a chip in his ear and reunited with its owner.
