A 40-year-old and a 29-year-old met in the building in Emil-Kralik-Gasse in Vienna’s 5th district at around 6am to discuss a narcotic drug deal. The pair got into an argument and the younger man shot the older man in the thigh.
The injured man called the police himself and said he had quarreled with “a casual acquaintance”, who had run off. The 29-year-old man was arrested shortly after in the vicinity of the Gürtel ring road, said police spokesman Patrick Maierhofer.
The weapon, a Rossi 38 Special revolver, was found in a dustbin. The wounded man was taken to hospital.
