The annual Bastille Day celebrations were brought to a spectacular close on Monday night with the annual fireworks display at the Eiffel Tower.
For the first time since 2002 fireworks were launched from the Eiffel Tower itself in a show that was specially designed to mark the centenary of World War One.
The display took six months to design, and cost half a million euros, but it was certainly impressive.
Here's some images from the display and a video from BFM TV station.
