Man convicted for taking sadistic films too far

The court in the canton of Zurich sentenced the Swiss man on Tuesday to a suspended two-year jail term.

It also put him on probation for three years, fined him 1,500 francs and ordered him to undergo therapy, 20 Minuten newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The man shot seven x-rated films between 2005 and 2009 in the Winterthurer Tresor Club, of which he was a part owner.

He told the court he considered the films works of art and the women at all times had the right to say “stop”.

But according to the evidence women involved, including a 20-year-old waitress, almost died while they were being filmed, 20 Minuten reported.

The victims were gagged, bound and strangled, in addition to being zapped with electric shocks, the newspaper said.

The women were also wrapped in plastic and locked in a suitcase, according to court evidence.

In at least two cases, the women fainted and had to be freed from their gags.

The convicted man said he sought to create the life-threatening situations deliberately in order to make more realistic films, which would be more marketable, 20 Minuten said.

“I never wanted to harm someone,” he told the court, adding that he had learned a lesson from his experience.

Tages Anzeiger reported that despite the court case he is still active in the sadomasochistic scene, advertising his services on the internet as a “fetish” and “bondage” photographer.

The newspaper said his studio features four cages and he charges 200 francs for each photo shoot.

He told the newspaper that it was just a business and that he was not interested in the models who participated.

“I am happily married and am interested in the result of the shooting.”
