Thirty-six young people, aged between 14 and 16, who attended schools in Graz and Deutschlandsberg were found to have circulated pornographic images of minors, the prosecution found.
One girl, whose naked image was shared by schoolmates without her consent, had to have psychological counselling afterwards.
Hans Jörg Bacher, the spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office, said there had been “two major cases last year but now things are quiet again.” Bacher said this was due to the fact that the authorities had acted immediately and confiscated students’ mobile phones.
