Kay Flitcroft, from Blackpool in the UK, was on holiday in the Menorca town of Cala en Porter with her husband, Spain's ABC reported on Wednesday.

Family members said she had gone out with her husband to watch the international football friendly between England and Peru. After the match, her husband went home, while she decided to stay out.

"She didn't come home in the morning; they opened the door to look for her, heard an ambulance [and] went over and she was found at the bottom of a wall," Flitcroft's brother told the UK's BBC.

The young woman was rushed to Menorca's Hospital Mateu Orfila with severe head injuries, ABC said.

However, the hospital couldn't treat her and she was taken by air ambulance to Majorca's Son Espases University hospital where she died.

Authorities are now investigating.
