Since the girl turned 11, her father raped her daily until she found the courage at the age of 15 to report his actions at a police station with a friend for support.
The father, Markus K. (40) was Tuesday found guilty of rape, incest, aggravated sexual abuse and abuse of parental authority.
He was sentenced to seven years in prison by Susanne Lehr, head of the judgement panel of the Vienna Regional Criminal Court.
Police took her claims seriously immediately after she reported them, and a rape kit found traces of semen in her body, which were linked to her father by DNA testing.
The German-born man had moved with his wife and five biological children to Austria in 2012. During the trial, he proclaimed his innocence, and suggested that the DNA was planted deliberately by his daughter who was trying to ruin his reputation.
It also emerged that his wife had suspicions about the activities occurring in the 86m2 apartment, but did nothing about it.
