The 36-year-old woman from Sandviken received the letter last week, reported the Arbetarbladet newspaper. The letter, addressed to the manager of her estate, said that the woman had died ten days ago and that her car insurance was being transferred to her estate. She was also informed that her name had been removed from several national registries.

"I was shocked. It wasn't pleasant at all, I couldn't believe it," the woman told the paper.

A local doctor had accidentally mixed up patients' details when another Swede had died in an elderly home.

The story is nothing new for Swedish doctors, with two to three Swedes reportedly "dying" each year by mistake.
