Due to contamination with the dangerous bacteria listeria, a French seafood producer King Sea Food has recalled three batches of smoked salmon that was sold under five different brand names.
The brands were mostly sold in organic specialty stores and include: Bonneterre (organic), Fjord King, Loste, Nature Océane (organic) and Safa. They carried lot numbers 1513, 1523 and 1593 with an expiry date of up to April 30th.
Stores sold the salmon between March 19th and April 14th, until it was pulled from shelves, French daily Le Parisien reported. It wasn’t immediately clear if anyone was left sick by the fish.
