The local policeman from Valencia was fined €1,200 ($1,650) after posing as a member of Spain's secret service agency and offered women fake jobs if they gave him jewellery or granted him sexual favours.
The 54-year-old was also ordered to pay one of his victims €242 in compensation for a gold chain she had given him, local daily Las Provincias reported.
The man's modus operandi involved showing his female 'trainees' military footage, electronic gadgets and weapons as a way of convincing them he was who he claimed to be.
Once he’d won their trust, the fake spy talked the women through the different stages of training. These included supplying him with gold and performing oral sex on him.
He then made sure the women took the “top secret” approach to guarantee they didn't speak up about the recruitment process. If they passed, they would be on a €1,900 monthly salary, he told them.
In his ruling on Monday. the presiding judge described the policeman as "pathetic", and speculated he may even have believed his own lies.
The man had "cheated and lied to" women he had met through his partner, preying on their need for work to live out his own fantasies, the judge said.
