The €72,149,579 ($97.3 million) win is the second massive jackpot payout in France in January from the European super lottery.

The lucky winner has 60 days to claim the booty in order to begin their new life as a multimillionaire.

The EuroMillions lottery, launched in 2004, is now played by nine countries across western Europe: Austria, Belgium, Britain, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

The record jackpot for a European lottery is €190 million won by British couple Adrian and Gillian Bayford in August 2012.
