"The name Satan Klaus honors the fact this is going to be a hard Christmas for many people," Chelo Morey of the brewery Cas Cerveser told The Local.
"These are lean years, and our seasonal beer is a little diabolical," said Morley, who runs the Puigpunyent-based brewery with her husband.
Satan Klaus is a new recipe for the brewer — a pumpkin beer that also contains cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.
"We collected pumpkins from the village to make it," Morey explains of the beer with an alcohol content of 6.6 percent.
But anyone wishing to try the festive brew will have to have to hurry. Only about 50 litres have been made.
These can be bought in Palma de Mallora from anywhere that sells Galilea beer.
