US pop culture website Hollywood Life wrote that the Norwegian brothers Bård and Vegard Ylvisåker "totally stole the spotlight" from Lady Antebellum and Enrique Iglesias, the other two headliners.
"We couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculous dancing duo’s outrageous moves and crazy fox outfits!" the site's reviewer wrote, calling the appearance "the performance of a lifetime".
This week, The Fox will also be sung during an episode of Glee, the hit US drama which centres around a pop choir. Amber Riley, one of the drama's actresses, won the "Dancing with the Stars" talent contest.
Ylvis managed to stop off in Norway for just one day on Monday after a trip to Hong Kong where they performed at an Asian music awards. They still found time to perform at Statoil's Christmas Party, before jetting of to Los Angeles for Tuesday's performance.
Their song, The Fox, is on the point of passing 250 million views on YouTube.
