The incident took place in August in Tånga Heds camp site in Vårgårda, western Sweden, and left the victim nursing a 10 centimeter long and five centimeter deep gash to his leg after the woman swung an axe at him reports Alingsås Tidning newspaper.
The court charged the woman with assault and battery and the prosecutor added that “she had demonstrated particular ruthlessness and brutality” during the assault.
When police attempted to bring her to the station on a separate charge of intoxication earlier the same day she resisted and continued to act in a violent manner once she was hauled into the police car.
Police added a separate charge of violently resisting arrest for this incident.
