Spain's King Juan Carlos underwent hip surgery again on Tuesday.
Doctors said the King was in a "highly satisfactory" condition after an operation which saw them implanting a temporary replacement hip — a substitute for a previous implant which had become infected.

At the same time, it emerged that the King — who gets around on crutches — will need surgery again in two months.
That will make it nine operations in just over three years.
The King himself has no plans to step down and recently told reporters he felt "very well" and was just "off to the mechanic".
But the latest news about the King's health has once again raised the issue of a possible abdication.
And with the highly popular Crown Prince Felipe waiting in the wings to take on the top royal job, there has been speculation the King might step aside.
