To be fair to Szenfeld, there was also a polar bear and an elephant thrown into the eclectic mix of costumes that would look more at home in a middle-school performance of the Narnia Chronicles, than on the body of a woman making her way through the rush-hour throng of the Stockholm subway.

Especially as all outfits in this offering were made of paper.

Fitting for a designer whose work often draws to mind endlessly complicated origami. Case in point: Szenfeld put Björk into a peony hued top and burnt orange skirt at the Polar Music Prize (see gallery) in 2010.

“With warmth and humour,” the official press release says about her work, with clients including Stella McCartney, Tommy Hilfiger, and Swarovski.
