The seat, invented by famed chair-designer Peter Opsvik and manufactured by the furniture company Stokke, has become loved around the world since it launched in 1972 and Stokke has won some 130 court cases against copy-cat companies.

"The process is moving along. A final decision will probably come some time in late autumn," Wilhelm Mohn, Chairman of Stokke  told Norway's DN Newspaper.

Rune Stokke, the founder of the furniture company, is the largest shareholder in the company with a 35 percent stake.
