French model set for TV show à la Kardashian

Nabilla Benattia, the French television personality and freelance model, is set to get her own TV reality show, inspired by her American idol, Kim Kardashian, according to reports on Monday.

The 20-year-old, who takes pride in her double D cup breast implants, shot to fame after appearing in “The Angels of Reality TV”, when a clip from that show garnered more than two million hits on YouTube.

Multiple photos and videos of her have surfaced on the Internet, including one of her in the nude, taken by herself with a smartphone.

Now, Benattia is to star in “Nabilla, Dynastie reality,” starting this autumn on French channel NJRJ 12, Voici magazine said.

Like Kardashian, Benattia and her family will be followed around daily by a camera team, the magazine said.

The program is to be produced by the company of Jérémy Michaluk, which already produces “The Angels”.

Benattia has stated publicly that she wanted to have a show like Kardashian’s.

The latest season of “The Angels” was filmed in Florida, where Benattia got to meet Kardashian, who rose to prominence in the US with a reality TV series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and other spinoffs.

In a brief period of time, Benattia, labelled a “bimbo” by one of her admirers, has become a media icon, constantly appearing in the French news.

“For what?” asked Valentin Spitz, a cultural commentator from French magazine Le Nouvel Observateur.

“For basically nothing,” Spitz said, adding that she is “the symptom of an overall media cancer”.

Benattia seems to take such criticism in her stride and she has the support of her Swiss-Algerian-Italian mother.

Her other media projects, apart from a pinup calendar, include a book set for release on July 11th, French daily Le Figaro reported.
