The 45-year-old Christopher Intsiful has said he’ll give up his 10-seat table at the legendary Munich beer festival this autumn – along with 20 litres of beer and 10 roasted half-chickens – to anyone who will swap a ticket for the sold-out, all-German game in London, wrote the Bloomberg news agency on Friday.

Intsiful, a public relations executive and Munich resident, has already shelled out around €300 for the Oktoberfest table, which he wants to swap for a game ticket worth between €60 and €330.

“It’s almost as hard to get an evening table at Oktoberfest as it is to get a Champions League final ticket,” Intsiful told Bloomberg, adding that his attempts to get tickets through his club membership had failed.

“The friends I would usually invite to Oktoberfest obviously think it’s a shame, but it’s my table so I can do what I want with it,” Instiful told Bloomberg. “I’m a big Oktoberfest fan too, but if I had to choose between it and Bayern, there’s only one choice I could make.”

Now he’s hoping his offer he posted on Facebook will be snapped up by a beer-loving footie fan. “This is my last hope,” he said.

Hundreds of thousands of German fans have been clamouring for tickets to London’s 86,000-seat Wembley stadium over the past week after it was announced that Saturday’s game would see two German teams battle it out for the title.
