Murder squad probes Hells Angel death

Other Hells Angels members in the Offenburg region have confirmed to Der Spiegel magazine that the man, identified only as Tommy, was one of theirs.

He belonged to the Black Forest chapter of the international biker gang, which has its clubhouse in Lahr, which has – possibly until now – not been involved in the biker gang war which has raged in the north, west and eastern regions of Germany over the last few years, the magazine said.

The woman found his body at around 8 am on Tuesday while she was out for a walk near Oberschopfheim, Baden-Württemberg.

Nearby Pforzheim was the scene of violence between the Hells Angels and a bouncer-related gang the United Tribuns. The Hells Angels reportedly voted to kill the leader of the competition, but police prevented an attack, and the Baden-Württemburg state interior ministry banned local Hells Angels chapter as a result.
