Lamblin, questioned with 17 others about her involvement in a drug trafficking ring based in Morocco earlier this month, officially gave up all her political commitments on Monday.
Speaking to news channel BFM TV, Lamblin’s lawyer Jean-Marc Fedida said she had also “settled the tax bill she was criticized for not paying.
“The word tax fraud is excessive, [she has] committed what I call a light offence, but what she considers to be a big and serious mistake.
“Her exact situation today is one of a taxpayer who has settled her situation with the tax office and has paid every last penny of what was owed."
The former deputy mayor of the 13th arrondissement of Paris stepped down from her elected duties earlier in October, but remained a political consultant in the Paris region, and kept her status as deputy mayor.
