The incident reportedly happened in the sixth arrondissement of Paris, where the French actor was riding on his moped. After the accident with a car, an argument apparently broke out, and ended with Depardieu punching the motorist in the face.

Depardieu has a history of road rage. In 2009 he was called in for questioning by Parisian police after a violent altercation with a car driver. The case was eventually settled out of court.

In 2005, a paparazzi photographer suffered at the hands of the 62-year-old when he got punched in the face.

Just a year ago, Depardieu was caught urinating into a bottle at his seat on a flight from Paris to Dublin. Friends with him on the flight confirmed he had to relieve himself urgently, but could not go to the toilets because the flight was just about to take off.
