Swedish star striker and Paris Saint-Germain's most recent signing, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, arrived in the US for the team's summer training camp on Tuesday.

“It feels good. It is my first day, my first training. I feel…not heavy but a bit tired,” Zlatan told daily Expressen after the practice.

“I have been looking forward to this day and I already feel like part of the team thanks to my new team members,” he added.

Paris Saint-Germain’s summer training camp is currently underway in Princeton, in the United States.

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has arrived at the airport in Newark,” PSG announced on Twitter soon after his arrival.

According to Expressen, the first training session lasted for about an hour. Zlatan reportedly took part in 40 minutes physical training in the 35 degree heat and then went off to do some own exercises and to discuss the training with coach Carlo Ancelotti.

Ibrahimovic could make his debut in Saturday’s friendly against MLS outfit DC United in Washington DC.

However, after the first training session, he wasn’t so sure he’d be ready.

“I don’t know, we haven’t really discussed it, but after today’s training I am nort so sure, ” he told Expressen and laughed.

Ancelotti, however, was less skeptical.

“Why not – for 30 minutes or so – if he thinks he is ready,” Ancelotti told Expressen.

The 30-year-old, who was part of the Sweden side eliminated from Euro 2012 at the group stage, moved to Paris from AC Milan for 20 million euros ($24.5 million, £15.7 million) last week.

His signing follows those of Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, also from AC Milan, Argentine attacker Ezequiel Lavezzi from Napoli and young Italian midfielder Marco Verratti from Pescara this summer.

Spain's La Liga on Monday said it was reviewing a video of a child making racist insults towards Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior during the 2-2 draw with Valencia at the weekend.

“We’re in the process of studying and analysing the facts from a legal standpoint to see what we can and should do,” La Liga sources said.

In a video published by a journalist for ESPN Brasil, and picked up by Spanish media, a boy sitting in a woman’s lap can be heard calling Vinicius a “monkey”.

The Brazilian scored twice for Madrid as his team recovered from two goals down at Mestalla on Saturday.

Vinicius raised his fist in a “Black Power” salute after the first of his two goals at a ground where he was racially abused last season. Valencia subsequently banned three people from the stadium for life.

The 23-year-old has become a symbol of the fight against discrimination in Spanish football after suffering racist abuse on many occasions, and he was jeered repeatedly by home supporters on Saturday.

Jude Bellingham was sent off after the final whistle against Valencia for protesting after the referee blew the final whistle right before the England midfielder headed home what he thought was the winning goal.
