It’s a trip to Paris she will always remember. On Thursday afternoon, a Chinese woman stepped over the railing of a tourist boat in Paris and fell into the water.
The tourist tried to swim against the currents but was quickly sucked away from the boat. Luckily two other Bateaux Mouches, Paris excursion boats, came to her rescue.
Though eventually successful, the rescue effort was made difficult by the fact that the boats are bulky and hard to maneuver, Le Parisien reports.
"Even with good propellers, it’s difficult to get close to a person in the water with a boat this size," said the captain who rescued the tourist told newspaper.
The crew finally managed to throw the woman a life buoy and pulled her onto the boat. The tourist was then sent to hospital for a brief check-up.
