Swedish gyno convicted for sex ‘climax’ demo

A gynaecologist in Gothenburg has been convicted after sexually molesting two patients during their examinations.

He was convicted on Tuesday for the molestations and was handed a suspended sentence and ordered to perform community service, wrote the Metro newspaper.

During the hearing, another doctor told the court how several other patient’s had complained of the convicted man’s use of sexual innuendo.

The man worked for the public health service in the Gothenburg municipality, in western Sweden.

Two women reported him separately, not aware of the other’s complaint, according to the Gothenburg Posten newspaper at the time.

The man was reported to the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) at the beginning of 2011, for crimes that were allegedly committed in his examination room in Gothenburg.

In January 2010, he allegedly molested one woman in a “sexualized manner”.

Again in December 2010, he allegedly touched another female patient’s genitals in a sexual stimulation that the doctor himself referred to as “the windscreen wiper method”, wrote Metro.

However, the gynaecologist, who has no previous criminal record, denied both charges.

According to the prosecutor, the doctor had severely taken advantage of the victim’s vulnerable position.

The man’s workplace had still not decided on Monday whether the man would keep his job or not, according to the paper.
