The man was found guilty of raping three women in May and June last year, local newspaper Fædrelandsvennen reports.
The court said the victims’ descriptions of the attacks were credible, while other evidence also tied the suspect to the crime scenes.
Denying the offences, the 19-year-old said he had consensual sex with the woman he was found to have raped outdoors in the Barneheia district on May 29th.
He also denied raping another woman on-board a boat at Otra on June 4th, and said he had no involvement in the rape of a young woman in the woods at Baneheiveien on June 26th.
Dismissing his claims of innocence, the court also ordered the man to pay the women a combined sum of 500,000 kroner ($87,500) in damages.
