Sinclair flew to Paris on Wednesday night, arriving on Thursday morning, according to Voici.fr. Her husband, the former IMF chief currently awaiting trial on attempted rape charges in New York, is not allowed to leave the house that the couple is renting in Manhattan.
Sinclair is back to meet her new grandson, born to her son David, one of two children from her first marriage to the journalist Yvan Levai. Sinclair married Strauss-Kahn in 1991.
She apparently visited the American Embassy at 8am yesterday morning, according to Le Parisien, with her “head bowed and looking drawn”.
Since getting back she has been spotted on the streets of Paris and has even taken the opportunity to visit her hairdresser.
