The Swiss economy grew 2.6 percent in 2010, reversing a contraction of 1.9 percent in 2009, the economy ministry said on Tuesday.
The data, which are preliminary estimates from the ministry, are slightly above figures from the Swiss National Bank, which puts growth at 2.5 percent in 2010.
In the fourth quarter alone, growth was up 0.9 percent compared to the third quarter when it reached 0.8 percent.
The Swiss central bank expects growth to slow this year to 1.5 percent due to difficult economic conditions in the European Union, its biggest export market.
