“We can’t complain about paedophiles and then on the other side promote those who are underage – or look as though they are – as sex objects,” the 39-year-old German told daily Bild on Friday.
“There are a lot of models on the runway who make me think, ‘Aha, the little girl has to play the sexy woman.’ This is a dangerous beauty ideal.”
The super-thin body types sought by the fashion designers are also contributing to the problem, Auermann said.
“We need a law like Milan’s against skinny models,” she said, explaining that a healthy body-mass index must be introduced.
“When boyishness or girlishness is ‘in,’ there will be more assaults,” she said.
Auermann, who had her third baby eight months ago, says she has not been disturbed by gaining some curves on her still lean frame.
“It’s the opposite. When I look in the mirror I think I’m more beautiful than ever, because I look like a happy woman.”
