Temperatures across the country are set to break the 25-degree-Celsius mark soon, though Sunday is still expected to be gloomy.
Showers and storms, which caused flooding in some parts of Saxony on Friday night, are expected to continue this weekend, but temperatures will reach 20 degrees Celsius on the northern coast, and up to 25 degrees in the upper Rhine region in southern Germany.
But the rain will subside on Sunday, and will be limited to the north-east of the country, and the skies will brighten on Monday. Temperatures are expected reach 23 degrees in the north and 26 degrees in the south through most of the week.
Pockets of rain and thunder could also move across the country from the west on Tuesday, reaching the east of the country by evening, but temperatures will stay relatively warm.
