The new application means that Spotify premium subscribers will now be able to run the popular streaming music service on a number of Nokia smartphone models, as well as certain models from Sony Ericsson and Samsung.
Spotify already has applications which run on the iPhone and Android mobile phone operating systems.
“The launch of Spotify’s Symbian app opens up our mobile music service to potentially millions more music fans across Europe,” Spotify’s director of portable solutions Gustav Söderström said in a statement.
Models which run the new Spotify Symbian app include the Nokia 6220 Classic, E71 and 5800 XpressMusic, as well as the Samsung GT-I8910 Omnia HD and Sony Ericsson Satio.
